Michael Graziano Music

saxophone and flute

Welcome!

I am a saxophone and flute player who has taught and performed in the Bay Area for more than three decades. My students include beginners to advanced players, whom I teach from my studio in the Mission district of San Francisco.

In private lessons, I teach the fundamentals of playing (tone, technique, and reading) as well as incorporating music theory, to give you an understanding of what’s going on in the music.

I also introduce Jazz improvisation by using a variety of recorded rhythm sections of different styles (blues, swing, bossa nova). I ask you to practice technique and apply your new understanding of music theory to improvising your own ideas.

I am a very patient teacher and tailor my lessons to each student’s individual needs and skills. Lesson are either 1 or 1½ hours, and my rates are very competitive. I welcome all ages and levels of players, beginning to advanced. It’s never too late to pursue a dream!

If you’re interested in playing saxophone or flute and/or learning how to improvise, give me a call at (415) 552-2534, or “Leave a Reply” below.
